The following table of National Glass Works / Rodefer Brothers datums was the excellent research work of the late Dick Roller, a fruit jar collector, researcher, and writer. His friend Tom Caniff added to it (letterheads, checks) and donated the combined results for your research benefit. A big thanks to both of them.

7 May 1885 John Gray, of Clybourne Place, Chicago, has a patent on silvering glass balls for telegraph & other purposes has the bottle works on contract for 80,000 balls. He has his own molds, and the years past the National Glass Works made the balls, but the labor trouble this year prevented them doing so. Crockery & Glass Journal, May 7, 1885, p. 16
