FLATTENING THE GLASS.
Again it is heated, and again blown into a still larger globe. On
the next page we see the different stages of blowing and heating from
a solid mass to a flattened pane of glass.
All this work must be done with great care,
for badly prepared window-glass will lose its transparency on being
exposed to
