These pictures of "progress" in Stockton, California, are by Brandon Hartle. The historic hollow sidewalks shown here are now gone, as are the vault lights. They were simply trashed, as is usually done, to make way for the new Downtown Transit Center. Brandon saved a few of the round lights, but the rest are history.
