This letter to Mr. Wolfe, Superintendent of the Shadyside School (Shadyside, Ohio), dated January 31, 1911 reads: Dear Sir: We, the Rodefer Glass Co., state that we desire to employ Cecil Glasgow and will employ said youth. We would request that you issue an age and schooling certificate. The said Cecil Glasgow, who will be employed by us as an assistant to Glass Blowers, Pressers, and Gatherers, in the capacity of Holding Mould, Turning Out, Carrying In, and Cleaning Off boy. We agree that should the said Cecil Glasgow leave our employ, we will return the schooling certificate to him for conveyance to you. Yours Respectfully, Rodefer Glass Co.
