PRISMS		 When prisms are set vertical, they will only operate when the sky angle between them and building opposite exceeds 40 degrees. Either rolled sheet prism or 4 × 4 pressed prism hard metal glazed can be used. The 4 × 4 pressed prism is the most durable and unquestionably the most effective, being pressed in many angles to suit different conditions. 4"×4" GLAZED PRISMS

CANOPY
PRISMS		 Canopy Prisms can be used in alley-ways or courts where the sky angle is less than 40 degrees. Set in angle iron frames either revolving or stationary as desired. "ACME" PRISM SKYLIGHT AND CROSS SECTION

EXTENSION
SKYLIGHTS		 Prism extension skylights, being the most effective form of prismatic lighting, should be set approximately on a 30 degree pitch from horizontal. Either of galvanized iron or copper bars with steel cores. (See cut.) Cast iron or steel riveted gutters are the best. When prism skylights are furnished and set by us, we not only guarantee results, but guarantee against leakage.

For a strong and durable vault light our steel reinforced concrete construction glazed with our No. 8 prism lens or No. 9 plain lens will meet the requirements. There is no exposed iron to rust away, but a solid form of concrete 2" thick with ¼" cold twisted steel reinforcing rods, running horizontal and transverse at 3¼ centers. Special Feature. Our No. 8 prism lenses are scientifically determined. The reflector surface lies entirely below the concrete construction, so that none of the light can be obstructed. We make these up in slabs in our shop, not exceeding 25' each, and ship to all parts of the country. If you specify that the vault light shall be NEW YORK PRISM COMPANY No. 8 prism lens or No. 9 plain lens, 2" square with rounded corners, you are getting the best.
