b) reception of insulators by customers
This is done according to the particular specifications of each customer.
Most of them use national or international specifications. Harmonizing
these various requirements is desirable to define a same universal
criterion for apprising each characteristic and to attribute a precise
and constant meaning to the safety factor each user considers convenient
to adopt.
Control of the spacing
The reception tests are carried out either in or without the presence
of the customer, as per his request, in our laboratories which, besides
having all the instruments and verification gauges for dimensions, has
machines and the necessary apparatuses for mechanical, electrical,
electro-mechanical, pollution, radio and television interference,
fatigue and ageing tests.
A reception test report is given to the customer by the engineer
responsible for the tests.
The mass of information gathered during the different inspection tests
is filed for two years. The information abstracted and summarized
therefrom are kept ten years.
