Illuminated iron hole covers often lose their lenses with age and are
filled with concrete or bars... though the occasional brave soldier
marches on, as shown. All were located by Diana Stuart (of
Designs Underfoot, which page noted as
"[DUpp]"). The Jacob Mark plate has been cemented over
and looks much better in DU.
