affording for pan c, an adjustable support on bracket Fig. 5.
The ends of bracket Fig. 5, by being bent apart at a requisite angle are screwed to the window frame or other place to which said bracket Fig: 5, is to be adjusted. The said ends are flattened and furnished with holes through which the screws are inserted, &c.
The pan, c, swings back and forth and in order to obtain the proper angle for reflecting the natural or daylight into any room, store, loft, &c., it is necessary to unscrew clamp or vise Fig. 6, until such angle is obtained. Then by revolving said clamps or vise Fig. 6 on threaded pin the required angle is maintained and the pan, c, is made firm at such angle.
The advantages of my device are to furnish, in combination with corrugated silvered glass, K, a reflector adjustable to the outside of any window frame in a pan or frame of iron, c, so arranged as to afford ample protection to said glass, K, and by means of bracket furnished with opening or groove i
and the device Fig. 6, the pan or frame, c, supported on piston rod m, and hollow pipe h', can be removed to and from the window at any requisite distance and secured by means of clamp or vise Fig. 7, at any required angle to reflect the natural or daylight into rooms, stores, lofts, &c.
What I claim as my invention is--
A reflector for diffusing and reflecting natural light, a lengthwise adjustable rod upon which the reflector is rotatably adjustable, slotted brackets for attachment to a window frame, adjustable clamps sliding in said brackets and having sockets to receive said rod, substantially as set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name, in presence of two witnesses, this 14th day of May, 1894.
