To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, WILLIAM H. WINSLOW, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Ornamental Prism-Plates for Windows, of which the following is a description. My invention relates to a new design for ornamental prism-plates for windows and is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein-- Figure 1 is a face view of a portion of a prism-plate embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a section. Like letters refer to like parts throughout both figures. The design consists of a series of prismatic light A A, provided each with the substantially parallel projecting prisms B B, separated by grooves or indentations C C. A number of these prism-lights are placed near |
together, being separated by thin strips D D' or opaque material.
The opaque strips D', which are placed substantially at right angles
to the projecting prisms, by thin strips are provided with the
enlargements D², sad enlargements being located at the
intervals along their lengths and in the grooves or indentations
between the prisms. The essential feature of my design is the series of prism-lights provided with substantially parallel projecting prisms separated by thin strips of opaque material, as shown. I claim-- The design for ornamental prism-plates for windows, substantially as shown and described. In testimony whereof I affix my signature, in the presence of two witnesses, this 22d day of April, 1896.
