To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, FRANK L. WRIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Prism-Lights, of which the following is a specification. My invention relates to designs for prism-plates. Figure 1 is a plan view of a prism-plate embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a section therethrough. A is the body of the prism-light. B B are a series of surface areas substantially uniform in appearance and produced by the lines of separation C C, which cross the surface of the body of the plate. D D are prisms on the opposite side. About the outer edge of the prism-plate are a series of ornamental lines E E, produced on the outer surface areas and which have a distinct and characteristic form, so as to produce a sort of ornamental border for the prism-plate. |
F F are ornamental lines produced on the inner
surface areas, each surface area having a design formed of such lines
similar to the design on the other inner areas. Thus there is produced
an inner field having a sort of mosaic appearance, with an outer border
having a distinct ornamentation. The essential features of my design are found in a prism-plate comprising a body with prisms on one side and a series of lines of separation on the other which divide it into a series of substantially uniform surface areas, the outer areas ornamented to produce the effect of a border and the inner areas ornamented in a uniform manner so as to give the effect of an inner mosaic-like field. I claim-- A design for a prism-plate, substantially as shown and described.
