SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,006, dated December 7, 1897.
Application filed October 23, 1897. Serial No. 656,230. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK L. WRIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Prism-Plates, of which the following is a description.
My invention relates to designs for prism-plates.
Figure 1 is a plan view of a prism-plate embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a cross-section therethrough.
A is the body of the prism-plate. B B, a series of surface areas produced upon the surface by means of lines of separation C C.
D D are prisms of a certain angle arranged so as to form bands across the prism-plate, one near the top and the other near the bottom.
E E are prisms of a different angle forming the field of the prism-plate. When viewed from the prism side, there is a field formed of
prisms of a given angle, with two bands across the same formed of prisms of a different angle, and when viewed from the other side the differing prisms of the field and the bands are distinguishable from each other, so as to form the design as illustrated.
The essential features of my invention are found in a prism-plate comprising a substantially flat and extended body with surface areas formed by lines of separation on one side and on the other side prisms of a certain angle to form the field and prisms of a different angle to form two bands across the field, one near the top and one near the bottom.
    I claim--
A design for a prism-plate, substantially as shown and described.
FRANK L. WRIGHT.
