To all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, GEORGE K. CUMMINGS, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and useful Design for Prism-Windows, of which the following is a specification. My invention relates to a new design for prism-windows, and is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which— Figure 1 is an elevation or front view of a prism-window embodying my said design, and Fig. 2 is a vertical cross-section through the window of the window. The design consists of a number of variously-shaped panes, plates, or lights of prism-glass grouped together so as to form a single window or design. The parallel cross-lines of the drawings represent the angular edges of the glass prisms, which, with a body portion of glass, constitute the said panes, plates, or lights. The heavier doubled lines of the drawings represent the framework. |
The design is described as follows: Within a
rectangular parallelogram appears a narrow border consisting of two
rows of rectangular prism-lights. Within the border appear vertical
lines equally spaced, each line branching near each end into two curving
branches which overlap upon their neighbors on either hand and rejoin near
either end of the design, said lines being the boundaries at each end
of rows of respectively triangular, kite-shaped, and oval prism-lights,
and centrally of a row of prism-lights which resemble in shape elongated
hexagons. I claim— The design for a prism-window as herein shown and described. In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
