SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,673, dated May 15, 1900.
Application filed April 11, 1900. Serial No. 12,487. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD J. DOBBINS, residing at Neshaminy, Bucks county, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Prism-Plates, of which the following is a specification.
Figure 1 is a plan view of a prism plate, embodying my new design.
Figure 2 is a sectional elevation of said plate on the line 2—2 of Figure 1.
Figure 3 is a sectional elevation of said plate on the line 3—3 of Figure 1.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a series of convex projections, a, disposed or arranged upon the side of a plate b.
Each convex projection in form resembles
the segment of an ovoid, the plane face of which segment has been projected in parallelism with the major axis of such ovoid; each is, however, as to one end quite rotund, and, as to the other, tapers to a blunt point.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is—
The design for a prism plate, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have hereunto signed my name this 31st day of March, A.D. 1900.
EDWARD J. DOBBINS.
In presence of—
G. A. SCHWAB,
F. NORMAN DINON.
