a "collar" A on to the top of B. The
collar having been partly filled with soft glass, the plunger is lowered
to force the glass into the spaces S S. Plunger and
collar are then withdrawn, the superfluous glass above B
is cut away with a knife, B is raised off A,
and the stoppers are shaken or pressed out of it.
