Specification forming part of Design No. 27,978, dated December 7, 1897.
Application filed October 4, 1897. Serial No. 654,089. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK L. WRIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Prism-Lights, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to designs for prism-lights having prisms on one side and ornamental designs on the other.
It is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein--
Figure 1 is a plan view of the ornamental side of the prism-light. Fig. 2 is a cross-section therethrough on line 2 2.
    A is the body of a prism-light.
B B are distinct designs, each formed of the series of elements C, grouped together, so as to form, as it were, a compound design.
The several elements may be connected together, as shown, and the separate compound designs may be connected.
The designs are produced by a series of lines worked into the surface of the prism-light, the raised line being shown in cross-section.
The essential feature of my design as applied to the back of a prism-light is the form of a series of groups, each group composed of a series of lesser designs or figures, the whole appearing, when seen, both as a series of groups and as series of lesser designs within the groups.
    I claim--
A design for a prism-light substantially as shown and described.
FRANK L. WRIGHT.
