SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,985, dated December 7, 1897.
Application filed October 21, 1897. Serial No. 655,976. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANK L. WRIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Prism-Lights, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to designs for prism-lights.
Figure 1 is a plan view of a prism-light embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a cross-section therethrough.
A is the body of the prism-light.
B B are ornamental lines formed in the surface of the body on one side; C C, prisms on the other side; D D, open spaces.
My design is found in a prism-light comprising a substantially flat and comparatively thin body, with a series of prisms on one side and on the other ornamental lines produced in the surface of the prism-light and forming a single complete single design covering the
greater portion of such surface as distinguished from designs consisting of a series of independent figures or a series of interlaced figures, which retain their individuality while forming a complex design.
The essential features of my design are found in a substantially flat and relatively thin prism-plate provided with a series of prisms arranged parallel to each other and covering substantially the whole of one side and with an ornamental pattern on the other side, said pattern composed of lines or ridges produced on the surface and forming a single figure as distinct from a complex pattern or series of figures.
    What I claim is--
A design for a prism-light, substantially as shown and described.
FRANK L. WRIGHT.
