This letter to the Rodefer Glass Company is a copy of their letter of
December, 1937, regarding an order for those rondels:

Gentlemen:-
We herewith submit copy of our letter of December 27, 1937, which is in the form of an order, and which we believe should suffice. The color of the Amber should be something near our sample, by which we mean a medium amber, not very light or very dark.
COPY
"Replying to your favor of Dec. 24th, we could not use a large quantity of the 3" Rondels at the price you name, but if you will send us 1000 of the Amber at the $39 price, these will be sufficient for our present wants. If at any time you should have 5000 or 10,000 lots that you wish to offer at a lower price, we would consider same."
Yours Truly, [signed] Leo Popper
